The Advanced Patternmaking Technician Course is a professional specialization program designed to provide participants with the opportunity to learn the rules of creative pattern development. This course is ideal for individuals with a background in fashion design, basic patternmaking, or tailoring experience, as well as those who have learned to sew but lack in-depth knowledge of patternmaking techniques and pattern variation creation. The goal is to enhance the skills of those who are already working in the field.

Course Objectives

The Advanced Patternmaking Technician Course allows participants to deepen their understanding of key methodologies in creative fashion production. Specifically, the course offers specialized training in:

• Advanced creative patternmaking techniques
• Development of pattern variations for experimental fashion projects
• Interpreting technical sheets from fashion design studies
• Creating advanced pattern variations from fashion sketches

Participants will be guided through the entire process, working on experimental projects that involve unique volumes and decorative effects. By the end of the course, students will have acquired an advanced methodology and technical skills, enabling them to work independently on a fashion project.

Course Content

The course focuses on advanced women's patternmaking for the construction of creative and intricate designs, integrating:

• Complex pattern constructions
• 3D patternmaking techniques
• Moulage (draping) techniques

Key topics include:

• Kimono and Raglan construction
• Fabric panel construction techniques for achieving striking visual effects
• Advanced decorative methods, including pleats and three-dimensional motifs
• Analysis of Courses fashion trends and their impact on garment fit and design
• Draping (Moulage) techniques to explore various draping styles and combine different patternmaking methods
• Garment defect analysis and pattern correction

The course has limited enrollment. Candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Basic knowledge of fashion design, patternmaking, or tailoring

Course Fees

• Cost: €1,000.00 (to be paid by the first day of class)

Exams and Certification

The issued certificate is accredited by the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation of Albania. It is recognized in the job market.
